Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Made with Brown Sugar
 

 

Crispy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Serves/Makes:  3 dozen or more
Ingredients
3/4 cup (175 ml) packed brown sugar
3/4 cup (175 ml) shortening
1 egg
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
3 cups (700 ml) Oatmeal Raisin Crisp cereal
1-3/4 cups (425 ml) all purpose flour
1 tsp (5 ml) baking powder
1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt
1/2 tsp (2 ml) ground cinnamon


Preparation
Heat oven to 400 degrees (200 C.).
Mix brown sugar, shortening, egg and vanilla in large bowl.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop by tsp 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
